Lovely girly seam binding and French tags

I love winding up pretty Seam binding and making pretty pins to go with it.  Glitter is always good!
Here are crowns and Marie antoinette!
I told you before that I love tags....these are just some in a big glass candy jar.
I think these are sweet together!  Sometimes it is just fun to play around like a kid and make things that are totally for fun and looks...with no real purpose.  I will be selling these at the Farm Chick show in June!  It makes me feel French, even though I am not.

Blooming flower pins

I just made up a whole bunch of wool/paper/vintage fabric pins with words!  I had alot of fun and have plans to make more, a few are for sale on etsy.  The best part about these pins are using up scraps, because I hate to throw away perfectly good materials.  I have too much junk for my own good.  Last weekend I was proud to go to the transfer station and get rid of a bunch of "yuck".  I should give to goodwill soon, that is more work to do!
Have a glorious weekend!

Getting that WITCHY feeling!

I am already feeling like creating all kinds of witchy things!  These are witches of the past...when I see my pics, I think...oh yeah...I forgot about that one!  I've made sooooo many things and sold them, that I really do forget...unless I made them into a pattern.  When you make something into a pattern, you can't forget it since you go over it a million times.  I love to solder pendants like the one at the top...it was an addiction for a while.  I love making tags....my husband probably secretly thinks I'm nuts when it comes to tags. Atleast he never says anything, except complements.

Recycling things into art is fun!

I just wanted to tell you all about a project I made that I look at everyday.  My husband gets these great calendars from his work every year...they are big and show 3 months at a time...great for my studio!  The only problem is that the picture on the calendar is of trucks from his company...YUCK!  Nothing inspiring about that for me and my studio!       So I covered the truck picture with pretty papers and my words..."Dream it!  Do it!" and printed out a picture of Marie Antoinette (glittered her).  I also printed a pic of the Eiffel tower on an old book page (glittered as well).  I just ripped out a yellowed book page from some old book, put it in printer, change the dimension of the printed page for the printer and viola...done.  Now I see that main picture of my calendar all year and am inspired everyday!!!!

Mannequin, scissors, and sewing machine tags

These are so fun and so old fashioned.  I love making tags..it is almost an obsession.  I also love vintage sewing items.  It makes me think of my great-grandma and how she stitched everynight on a quilt.

Happy St. Patrick's day!

This is a fabulous show.....save your money and try to come to the show in spokane.....I am a vendor there as well.  If you like girly antiques, fun handmade items, high quality decor, unusual vintage goods, and lots of ideas...make sure to come! The Farm chicks show is not your typical antique show...there is a special feel to it....something magical.  I have trouble not wanting to shop when I am dealing with my sales...lol.

Things in my studio.....

This is my funny bunny...I made him with a pink chenille nose from an old blanket.
This is an old file divider that I put on end to store little essentials!
I restored this old basket by adding rolled fabric flowers and "Paris" tag.
I can't just have an ordinary pen and pencil cup....I put one of my badges (I make lots of these in patterns) on this old can of carrots (decoupaged with old graph paper).
This is a bee-hived cow my sister gave me, she watches over me above the computer.  She hangs out in my soldered pendants.

Its almost Easter time, for Peeps sake!

These are my new Easter tags...they are fun and a little WHIMSICAL.  I used old wallpaper for the backgrounds for the tags...I love old wallpaper.  My house is full of wallpaper...my grandmother, who lived here years ago, was a wallpaper junky!  Some of the wallpaper is pretty and still awesome, some has been painted over.  My house looks like a cottage, with all kinds of nooks.
My tags are on etsy and instant printables.

**I also have a great easter set of 6 collage sheets with tags, tickets, and flashcards on my etsy...only 4.99....for a limited time. If it is sold out, it will be relisted**

See my mess!!!  Time to clean my wild mess off my main table.

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY!

This is my beloved mom, who would have turned 80 today....sadly she past away over 12 years ago.  She was a strong woman who was dealt the worst cards of life.  She struggled in so many ways, but always came out pretty good in the long run.  She had five of us kids from 2 marriages...both marriages were to alcoholics.  She was done with men after that....for the rest of her life.  She devoted herself to us kids and we were well taken care of.  She had rhumatoid Arthritis and a terminal lung disease....she waited for my daughter to be born and 20 days later, passed away.  I miss her very much!  Today I went to a great craft show here in spokane, she loved going to them all...I wore a necklace with her picture and had her with us all day.

Bloom where you are planted!

I want Spring....and we are getting it here in Washington state!  It has been so lovely!  All my tulips are quite large, not blooming yet.  The grass is green and the birds are tweeting like nuts!

My kitten thought it would be nice to bring in the house ...a very large worm....it was my present for being such a cool mommy.  I didn't like it  though, so I had my hubby get rid of it.  The kitten spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what happened to it....sniffing and such.  I told him to forget bringing me gifts like that....I am sure I will get another worm soon!  One time the kitten brought in cornbread that I put out for the birds....what can I say ?  My cornbread is good! Ha ha ha.
